The following is an excerpt from the article in the Twinsburg Bulletin

Annual Twinsburg 'Olde Tyme Fayre' rapidly approaching

"The annual Twinsburg Olde Tyme Fayre 2000 will be September 16 and 17.  There will be crafters, knitters, crocheters, sewers, bakes, woodworkers, gardeners, etc.  Get ready to show off your skills.  New this year will be Kids Krafts.  The event will be at the Twinsburg Historical Society, 8996 Darrow Road.

Items can include needlepoint, knit, crochet, afghan/knitted, afghan/crochet, crewel, embroidery, counted cross stitch, home sewn items, quilts, small quilted items.

Home accessories can include canning, rushing, weaving, rug hooking.

Baked goods can include pies, cakes, cookies, quick breads, yeast breads, muffins, other.

All items must be home grown or homemade by entrant.

Entries in all divisions except fresh items to be brought in to the museum or barn September 15 between 5 and 7 p.m.

Fresh items must be in by September 16 by noon or they will not be judged.  Items will be judged in different age categories: 4 to 7 years, 9 to 12 years, 13 to 16 years and adult.

Barn items can include cut flowers, bouquet of flowers (fresh), bouquet of flowers (dried), most unique flowers, largest sunflower (whole flower), largest sunflower (head).

Vegetables can include vegetable (most show worthy), strangest or most unique, largest pumpkin, largest squash, largest watermelon, largest melon (other).

Canning can include jams, jellies, canned fruit, canned vegetables, sauces, relishes, juices, pickles.  Handcrafts can include furniture, toys, hand carving, stamping, embossing, novelties.

This event is open to all area gardeners and practitioners of the domestic areas."
