This was the war that was to "end all wars". To commemorate the end of that war, and all wars, the Historical Society is joining the Twinsburg VFW in an Open House on Armistice Day, or Veterans Day, November 11, at 7 PM. This will be at the VFW Hall on Ravenna Rd. in the Center of Twinsburg, just northwest of the Town Square.

There will be a display of photographs of perhaps 15-20 young men from Twinsburg who served in WWI and there will be copies of their enlistment and discharge papers. There will also be copies of a newsletter that was sent to Twinsburg residents serving in the Armed Forces during World War II.

This is a rare opportunity to share the histories of people from many years ago.

Many veterans will be on hand and, as always, refreshments will be served.
