Twinsburg Monuments

The Twinsburg Square has been the focus of village life through the years.  In 1823, the townspeople voted that " the public square shall remain unoccupied by public buildings". There are several monuments in the Square commemorating various events and history of the people from Twinsburg who participated in them. Originally the 6-acre park was the site of the first  public building, a log schoolhouse built in  1822 (also used as a Town house and church).

Memorial Day  ceremonies have been held every year since 1870 at the park,  with the  parade marching to Locust Grove Cemetery.    Lunch time concerts are  held during the summer at the stage. Twinsburg Township Home Days are held every summer at the Square.
